Sturehofs Slott / Stockholm Sturehof Castle

A couple of weeks ago I went on a daily trip to a castle in Stockholm ("Sturehofs Slott"). I'm trying to find new things to do in Stockholm during the weekends and evenings and then I heard about this place! I actually brought a date here.. :-) Ok, the weather could have been better, but the nature was still very beatiful and the little café/restaurant had a lot of lovely homebaked sweets and the food was also very good. Can sincerely recommend it to you as well! It took about 30-45 minutes by car from the city center. You can also go there by boat during the summer. After you have satisfied your stomach you can burn that calories off by a long walk ;-)  ...or a swim in the ocean (if it's the right season ofcourse).

Pre-Christmas-Party at Tranans bar

Hey ho, let's go!
Tomorrow Restaurant Tranan and Tranans bar is having their yearly Christmas Party. It's usually a very popular event and I'm planning to go as well.

Maybe I'll see you there!

Have you forgotten to buy your Christmas gifts?

Ho ho ho, this saturday it's Christmas eve (as you all know I guess!) :-)
As a travel-lover I found this beautiful smart case from the swedish brand Acne. I thought it would be a good christmas gift. Maybe a black one for the 'world-traveling husband' or the one in camel for your stylish girlfriend (I prefer that one). Acne also has so many other beautiful things, I could put them all on my wishlist.

Or maybe some pillows from Svenskt Tenn with these lovely patterns:

Or traditional swedish Christmas decorations

Happy holidays everyone!

Welcome! Välkommen!

Hi and welcome to this blog about Stockholm!

Based in Stockholm the purpose of this blog is to give you local underground tips and information about Stockholm life, events and fun stuff related to living in Stockholm, tourist or no tourist...

BTW today we are celebrating Santa Lucia so we´re usually stuffing ourself´s with Lussebullar and if you´re a "teenager" the normal celebration is stealing alcohol from your dad and staying up late getting drunk;)

No idea what Santa Lucia is? Get a view here...

Happy Santa Lucia!
